The Chattanooga FC Academy welcomes you to our beautiful city for 2022 RiverFest Classic! Below are a few reminders to help you prepare for the upcoming weekend of soccer. 

SCHEDULES
For the most up-to-date schedules or last-minute changes please visit RiverfestClassic.com. As with any tournament, always double-check your game times and locations. 

VENUES
The tournament website has addresses as well as field layout diagrams to help you find your way. We strongly encourage you to review this in advance, plan your route and be prepared to walk a distance to your field.

PARKING 
Your parking fee was prepaid at the team level. Instead of circling the parking lot for the perfect spot, save the stress and be prepared to walk a distance to your field. Do NOT park on the grass medians of Camp Jordan. You are likely to be ticketed by the City or even towed.

CARPOOL RECOMMENDED
You can help tremendously if you carpool from the hotel to the venues as much as possible. There will be times of the weekend when every parking spot is taken. Please consider combining cars — not just for players but for parents as well.

WARMUPS FOR 9AM GAMES
Due to the anticipation of frost on both mornings, we are asking teams for the 9:00 a.m. games to not enter the field for warmups. Find space adjacent to your field for warmups.  This is a policy by the venues we lease and we want to respectful to protect the fields. This message has to be communicated to your players in advance, especially young players. We want to avoid any misunderstanding at the field.

TEAM CHECK-IN (INFO OR MANAGERS)
Since team check-in took place online in advance, you do not need to check-in when you arrive at the fields. However, make sure to bring your player cards and certified roster to each game.

GAME CARDS (INFO FOR MANAGERS)
Game cards will be submitted electronically by the referee via QR code. Ensure you have printed the version WITH QR CODE and give that one to the referee before your game.  The referee will be responsible for scanning the QR and entering the final score. Ensure that this happens. Each QR code is associated with a particular game so make sure to use the correct game card. This is a common mistake for semifinal and finals when opponent names are not pre-printed. The coach/manager for the winning team, OR home team in ties, should keep the card in case of dispute.

CERTIFIED ATHLETIC TRAINERS
On site medical trainers will be available during the tournament at Camp Jordan and Redoubt near the concession stand. You may visit the trainer without an appointment and at no charge. The trainers will be available to wrap ankles before a game but the PARENT must provide the athletic tape or pre-wrap. SCORING
There will be no overtime or tiebreakers in the preliminary rounds. Teams shall be awarded points for games as follows: Win = 6 points plus 1 point for each goal scored (up to a maximum of 3 per game). There is absolutely no incentive for running up the score beyond a 3-goal difference. Tie = 3 points plus 1 point for each goal scored (up to a maximum of 3 per game). Loss = 0 points plus 1 point for each goal scored (up to a maximum of 3 per game). Shutout = 1 point for holding the other team scoreless - does not apply to 0 – 0 match.

TIEBREAKER IN GROUP PLAY
We will be monitoring potential ties in group standings. If coaches think a tie has occurred and PKs are needed as last time break on Saturday, they need to verify this before leaving the complex. If a Saturday shootout cannot occur be prepared to do this on Sunday morning.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to rostered players only for the the champion and finalist in each division immediately following each Championship Match. If a coach or non-rostered player would like a medal, email us next week and we will be happy to accommodate if additional medals remain. Thank you for your understanding -- as we ensure all players who are present go home with a medal.

TOURNAMENT APPAREL
For your custom RiverFest gear, visit the SIMAX tent at Redoubt and Camp Jordan. Purchase early to get your first choice on color/size and to avoid the longer lines on Sunday afternoon. If you are unable to visit one of these three venues you may order online at the tournament website.

REFEREES
We are fortunate to have more than 100 referees staffed for this event and some of the best mentors in the game. Hall of Fame referee Kim Oberlie and MLS Referee of the Year Robert Sibiga have signed on as official mentors and will be on site all weekend and conducting continuing education with referees. Some of the referees are at the beginning of their journey, just like many of the coaches and players in attendance. This event has a Zero Tolerance Policy for any that could remotely be considered harassment of referees. If you have a parent or coach on your team with a history of doing this, we strongly encourage you to warn them. When they’re asked to leave the field, the decision is final. This note IS the warning.
