The Junior Academy Program is a 10-month (Aug. – May) competitive program for boys and girls players in the youngest competitive age group of the CFC Academy Player Development Pathway.
The U9-U10 ages play in a 7v7 format before moving to 9v9 in the U11-U12 ages. The focus of the smaller sided is to create a fun and rewarding environment, within a competitive arena, while emphasizing proper skill acquisition and training techniques.
Players in the age groups train two times per week with their team and coach. A third night of training is available in a Club Training format that brings multiple teams together in similar age groups. The Club Training is strongly encouraged as it will help with foot skills, ball striking, speed & agility, and more.
Junior Academy teams will participate in two to three tournaments per season. A season is defined as Fall Season and Spring Season. At least one tournament per season is local, requiring no travel or hotel.
All teams are trained by appropriately licensed, professional club coaches to provide the players with the best possible foundation of skills and knowledge of the game.
Teams are formed after players participate in formal evaluations led by CFC Academy Directors and Staff Coaches.
