Chattanooga FC Academy is pleased host Chattanooga’s first ever College ID Camp the weekend of January 26-27 at Camp Jordan Park.

College coaches will lead training sessions, goalkeeper sessions, technical warmups, and 11v11 matches over the two-day event.

We expect approximately 20-30 male and female college coaches to be in attendance. These coaches will range from NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA and NJCAA coaches. The camp is open for male and female players from 2004 - 2000 age groups.

"As a former college coach, I remember how beneficial ID camps like these are — not only to the players but to college coaches as well,” said CFCA Executive Director Matt Yelton.

"Players often have to travel for college ID camps. This is a way to take advantage of the exposure right here at home. I strongly encourage our members to attend, even if they are undecided on whether to pursue college soccer.”

The camp will include 8 sessions -- 4 training sessions, three 11v11 game sessions and one College Coach Q&A session. A customized Nike camp shirt will be included.

Younger players will benefit from exposure to the level/expectations required to play at the college level by displaying their abilities early in the process, while older players will be able to showcase themselves directly to the college coaches in attendance.

“Our club has doubled in size over the past few years and we had a record number of athletes sign to play college soccer this year," said CFCA Recruitment Coordinator Danny McBride.

"As more colleges become familiar with the talent coming from CFC Academy, the time is right to offer something like this to our community."

Current CFC Academy members will receive a registration code next week to reserve their spot at the discounted price of $100. If slots remain, we will open those remaining slots for $115 to any player who is interested.

“When I used to recruit players to college, I remember how confusing the process can be for many families. We hope to remove some of the mystery by hosting a Q&A session with these coaches."

Yelton added, "We are honored to be able to offer something like this to our members more of them are signing to play college soccer. This is just another step in the development of our club."
