A Chattanooga FC Academy player is just one of five boys to represent Tennessee as part of the Region III ODP team competition in Italy this week.

Alex DeRusha, 01 Premier, joins four other Tennessee players for this incredible experience. They were selected to  compete against top Italian youth club teams.

The players are receiving a high level of training in a European country where soccer is the national pastime. They are competing in an environment that will only make them better players when they return to their club teams.

The Region III team will visit Ciamino in Milan, Parma and Chievo Verona.

The trip is about more than soccer development. Alex and his teammates will experience various cities in Italy and all the unique culture that exists there.

Chattanooga FC Academy is the Nike Premier youth soccer club serving the Greater Chattanooga area with nearly 1,000 members and more than 50 teams. The club competes locally, regionally, and nationally, in leagues such as the Tennessee State League, US Club Soccer National Premier League, USYSA’s National League and Southern Region Premier League.
