Stephens Family Photo Before Fire

As many of you know one of our Chattanooga FC Academy families lost most of what they owned recently when a fire burned the home they were living in, in East Brainerd.

Blake and Sarah Stephens along with their four children were not home at the time. Fortunately, no one was injured. Diamond plays for the 05 Premier team and Iceley plays for 07 Premier team.

The Forgotten Child Fund arrived to bring the family a supply of clothes, winter apparel, gift cards and two large boxes of toys to replace the toys the children lost in the fire. They will also receive bicycles.

The club will work with Nike and our uniform distributor to make sure all their uniforms and soccer gear are replaced free of charge in time for the spring season.

Another sponsor, Acropolis Mediterranean Grill, reached out to offer assistance to the family as well. Acropolis will coordinate with the family to make sure they have the cover the girls' team fees for the spring.

Thanks to everyone that is helping and being so supportive. This is simply amazing. Through all this I've learned there are still good people out there. We lost everything but I've regained faith in humanity most certainly. - Sarah Stephens

The Stephens family will have enough to worry about as they bounce back from this loss, and soccer is much less important at a time like this. We are grateful to our sponsors who will make sure the family's needs related to soccer are covered.

How to Help

A friend of the family, Emily Pascua, set up a GoFundMe account with the family's permission. She writes in part:

This woman has been my sister and best friend for so very long and I love her dearly. Her family is very special and they will need all the love, prayers, and help we can provide them. They have lost everything they owned in this tragedy and will need all basics and much more. This family is well known and well loved in the community. Please, please help them back on their feet during this terrible time.

Thanks to Acropolis for their support.
