The Shamrock Cup 2016 was a great success for CFC Academy. This is a smaller tournament designed to be at one complex for u12 and younger teams.

Ten finals were played on Sunday and CFC Academy had teams in 7 out of those 10 with three champions.

On the girls' side, our 07 Premier Girls proved they were the best in class after winning 9-0, 16-0, 9-0, and 4-0 in the top division final. Despite moving to a possession style game and shifting the strikers to defense the CFC Academy girls defeated Signal Storm Black 16-0 in the Saturday afternoon game.

The 07 Elite Girls made it to the final of the second division and improved during each game of the tournament.

It was a close final for 04 Elite Girls who lost 3-2 on a heartbreaking golden goal to TUSC 05 Girls Red. It was a nice bounce-back performance after Saturday's 7-3 loss to the same team. As a show of unity for the club the team used a couple guest players from the 05 Premier Girls team. This is the kind of pool play available in #1City1Club.

Our youngest group of boys gave a glimpse of the club's future as the u8 South IDP group earned their way to the final in the u9 Division.

The 06 Premier Boys also had a dominating performance over the u10 Signal Storm Black. They won their final 9-2.

It was CFCA taking both top spots in the u11/u12 Boys division as the 04 Premier Boys edged the 05 Premier Boys.
