Chattanooga FC Academy is pleased to welcome Sarah Rogers to its growing staff as Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Rogers grew up playing club soccer in Chattanooga and advanced to play with Tennessee Olympic Development Program before becoming an NCAA college athlete.

After earning her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Tennessee Tech, she took a post-graduate internship with Harvard University where she instructed daily workouts for women's soccer and other teams at Harvard.

Rogers has also served as Strength & Conditioning Coach for Battle Ground Academy and Harpeth Hall in Nashville before relocating back to Chattanooga. She holds her NSCA certification as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist, is certified as a USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, and is certified by the Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid.

Working with Director of Coaching Steve Hirayama, Rogers will create a proper strength program that will prepare athletes for the demands of competition by enhancing speed, strength, power, agility, and balance, while most importantly minimizing the risk of injury. Part of her focus will be to educate the athletes on proper nutrition and recovery. In addition, she will work with team coaches to create a program that is specific to their players.

"Adolescence is an extremely important time of growth and development for the athlete," said Rogers.

"It is beneficial to provide the CFC Academy athletes with the tools necessary to stay ahead of the curve as they work to advance to the next level."

Every player in CFC Academy will have access to this benefit at no additional charge. It will be incorporated into weekly Club Training nights.
