Cost:

The cost for CFCA evaluations will be FREE.  With a large number of players anticipated, early registration helps our staff  organize sessions to run as smooth as possible.

Locations:

All evaluations will be held at Camp Jordan and Grimes (North River).

Attendance:

Registration is mandatory for all new and returning players.  At least one evaluation session is required; attendance at all three sessions is encouraged. Some players are unable to attend evaluations due to injury or vacation schedules. This does not prevent players from playing in the 2019-20 seasons. Please register for evaluations even if you are unable to attend and then contact us for information about your specific situation.

Check-in:

On your first night at check-in, take your confirmation email for tryout registration with you in case we do not have you listed on the pre-registered list.

What to bring:

  • shin guards
  • soccer ball (properly inflated)
  • water
  • soccer shoes and soccer socks
  • shirt (provided at check-in)
  • bib number (provided at check-in)

Attire:

Each participant will receive an official CFCA 2019 Evaluations shirt from Nike, made possible by Chattanooga Allergy Clinic, when they check in. This shirt is required for each day of evaluations. If you do not attend the first session, shirts will be available at the second and third sessions. Black or navy shorts along with white soccer socks are preferred. Please do not purchase anything new for this. Any color shorts and socks are okay.

Travel Competitive Teams

The highest level of teams in CFCA are the travel teams, also known as Div. 1 and Div. 2. These programs are available U9-U18, grouped as Premier/Elite beginning with U11.

Local Select Teams

The next level of teams play mostly in-town with some light travel. These programs have sometimes been known as Div. 3 or "rec plus" and "select academy." These teams are available in the U9-U12 ages and are a step up from the rec program offered by our partners at East Ridge, Middle Valley, North River, and Redoubt.

Contact Information:

If you have questions before tryouts, email admin@chattanoogasoccer.com. As we get closer to tryouts Parent Coordinators will be available to you. These individuals will be longtime CFC Academy parents who are eager to help.

What happens after evaluations?

  • Within 24 hours of the last evaluation being completed an email will be sent out to all players who participated in CFCA tryouts.
  • Participants will be offered a spot on the Travel Select (Premier & Elite) or Local Select (North & South). Premier is the top travel team. Elite is the second travel team.
  • Parents and athletes will then have 48 hours to accept.
  • Should a spot on the Premier team become available after the 48 hour window closes, only players who have already committed to an Elite team will be considered for the open spot on the Premier team. If a spot were to become available on an Elite team, players registered for Local Select would be the next to be considered (should they have an interest in participating in travel)
Parents will receive an email with their athlete's team selection. Premier, Elite, and Local Select offers will be made at the same time.

Club Fees

Club fees for the 2019-20 season will be approved by the board of directors before tryouts. We do expect a decrease in fees from last year. We will also reevaluate last year's policy that combined club/team fees.

Each player will receive a free Nike shirt to be worn during 2019 Evaluations.
