CFC Academy proudly supports recreation soccer associations to assist them with a local instructional program designed to introduce players to the game and provide them with an equal opportunity to play and participate.

We believe there is a clear distinction between recreational and select soccer, including the motives that drive children to participate and/or leave our sport.  We believe players should participate in competitively appropriate platforms, but there are negative, unintended consequences associated with establishing those levels too young.

Our local rec programs will:

  1. Foster a strong love for the game.
  2. Instill a possession-style of soccer ("Kicking is not soccer.")
  3. Be operated by individual recreational associations with program guidance and coach mentorship by CFCA.
  4. Be open to all players wanting to participate regardless of experience or skill level.
  5. Expose rec players to the opportunities for moving up within the CFCA family of programs.

Registration fees will vary by location. All recreational programs are non-profit and volunteer-based organizations.

PRE-ACADEMY U7-U8

For those U7 & U8 players who desire something more advanced than rec soccer, we are pleased to offer the Identification & Development Program. The IDP is a Pre-Academy for players who may have interest in trying out for CFC Academy in the U9 season. This program is an early introduction to the CFC Academy curriculum.
